OUT NOW Tim Berne - Yikes Too

OUT TODAY! Tim Berne starting a new band is truly cause for celebration, and we’re thrilled to be releasing the debut of Capatosta w/ Tom Rainey + Gregg Belisle-Chi today, split between Screwgun + Out Of Your Head Records. Keeping it very short, OOYH would not exist without the influence of both Tim and the Screwgun Records catalog, so this one means a lot to us. Getting to it! Link to the album in the comments (not streaming, you have to buy this one to hear it all, but two more tracks Guitar Star and Clandestine (live) up to listen on BC now).

Yikes Too is the full double album (10 studio + 8 live) available both digital and double CD.

Yikes is the LP, and features tracks from the studio album. The pressing sounds very (very) good.

PDF scores of all of the tracks (except Julius Hemphill) are up now for $35. It’s so much music and comes with digital. Worth the price!

Wax Mage drop is TODAY at 3pm EST. They look crazy and will go fast. Still a few Waterfall left, so you could get two at once! $75, and we’ll have them packed and shipped this weekend.

The listening party is scheduled for next Friday 1/24 at 1pm EST. Tim will be there answering questions, and we’ll play all 18 tracks start to finish. Please join if you can!

Mixed/mastered by the great David Torn. The studio sound is pristine, and he made the live set sound amazing too...just like the live Bloodcount albums from the 90s!

The art is also a split between Screwgun/OOYH and we’re so excited with how it came out. LP art is just Steve Byram, CD art is just TJ Huff (inspired by the Byram art), and the digital cover (pictured) is a collaboration between the two. It all looks crazy/great, truly.

“It’s an auspicious debut by a new Berne band.” —New York City Jazz Record

“One common trait of all Tim Berne Ensembles is that everyone in these bands are fearless but the trio with Gregg Belisle-Chi and Tom Rainey could be his brashest one yet.” —Something Else! Reviews

Thanks so much for the support...so many of you have already bought this record and that really helps us put out more awesome music.
